The hotel is the best in its price category

The rooms are ok, the mattresses and pillows of the Melia chain are super, everything in the room worked, no adapter needed

The hair dryer is rather good, enough for the vacation.

You are to understand one thing:

All new hotels are bald in terms of greenery, palm trees,But here

everything is beautiful in the hotel, because the hotel has the history. The territory is maintained in perfect condition, well-groomed

Food

In Cuba after the pandemic, itthere ate difficulties with food EVERYWHERE

Here for breakfast there is always cheese, sausage, eggs, hot dishes, fruits (seasonal)

Lunch is possible in the main restaurant and in the snack restaurant by the pool. We often did not go to the main restaurant for lunch on the buffet, we dined outdoors in this restaurant.

Dinners

They always fry meat or chicken, the choice is rather good

Very good

Food in Cuba is not like in Turkey

You need to understand this. If you are going to Cuba and want to have a buffet like in Egypt and Turkey - you definitely don't need to come here.

The beach and the ocean are beyond discussion - it is incredibly good.

Having visited more than 10 hotels in Cuba (in total, I have been to different locations in Cuba -13 times),

I can say that Melia las Antilas is one of the most stable and best hotels in Varadero.

Everything depends upon the manager and here he is a very good organizer.

I saw how he organized the meetings with the staff and controlled everything. I want to thank him for the way he does his job. I am the manager of the Company in Russia and understand perfectly well how difficult it is to organize the work when you have so many problems with logistic, supplying of products and so on and so far. I 'm very thankful to all the staff: to the girls in the lobby bar, to Raul ( always smiling barmen in the beach bar), to camameras ( I'd never see them, but my room was always ok), to officiants in all the restaurants. They all are professional.

Now for those who are going to Cuba and, in particular, to this hotel.

1. You need to go to Cuba with a good mood and everything will be great

2. Smile to people everywhere and always (very noticeably Russians, gloomy)))

3. Have enough money for tips

You can throw slippers at me, but I said, I say and will continue to insist that tips in Cuba are given not FOR the service, but FOR the service.

This is such a country. The salary is 15-30 dollars and our tips are their salary.

I heard people on the beach shouting that they paid for the trip and are not obliged to feed cuban people....

It is better not to go with such a position and not to disgrace yourself and the country.

We began visiting Cuba 15 years ago, we were the only Russians among foreigners at that times. We speak English and French and always communicated a lot.

Now Cuba is affordable at the price of Egypt or Turkey and there are many people from Russia go to Cuba.

I am sure I will return to this hotel with my family))).
