Could be better
This is my 5th visit to cleopatra luxury resort Makadi bay.
Positive points:
Check in was really quick. We got into the room within minutes.
The receptionist made free upgrade to deluxe room. It was a nice gesture.
The room was spacious, clean and modern with an already added extra bed for the child.
Pools was great. Also beach was good.
The food at the main restaurant SOKO was good but it lacked the variety. The taste wasn't so good and it was repetitive. In general, the food could be better.
On the other hand, The snake bar was super!
Negative points:
The reservation team wasn't helpful. We tried to have a reservation for our friends but they claimed that there's no availability. However, as we saw, the hotel was around 50%. Hence, definitely, there was availability to have a reservation but I don't understand why they made it very hard to do it. I tried to cancel the reservation to be able to gather with our friends but we couldn't since we already paid the deposit. Anyway, because of this negative attitude and zero hospitality for the loyal guests, this will be the last time to visit this resort.
Some on the animation team (Egyptian members) were not respectful and we saw them making fun of other guests (in arabic) which is not acceptable.
Food was okay but it could be better as it was in the previous visits.
