Pleasant stay
back from a pleasant holiday, check-in was friendly fast and efficient! Got asked if I got any special room requests and asked for a quiet room.
So I got a room at a quiet spot, somewhere at the back of the resort. A good start! The standard rooms are large enough and kept tidy every day.
The hotel is maintained continuously, you always see workers put new paint somewhere or doing some other maintenance to keep it in good shape. (did not expect that)
Food: 1st time in Egypt so can't compare with other hotels but I found all food (main, snack and a la carte) very good Everything was fresh and tasty, 4 omelet stations so you never have to wait long for a freshly prepared omelet, a live pasta-station were they prepare your wishes and a Belgian corner where they prepare you freshly made waffles and pancakes.
Waiters do their best to serve you drinks at the table.
Hygiene: although it's my 1st time in Egypt and tried many a la carte, the "shakes and bakes" and even the mobile beach stand of shoarma, I never got sick.
Also tried some a la carte restaurants, all really good.
Pools: Half of the pools are heated, nicely warm in the winter and you can use the waterpark next door
entertainment: the hotel has a 14 day rotating program of eveningshows, you can use the tables in Mamlouk or watch the show in the amphitheater next door. (same show just 40min later)
shows itself were mostly average, I did like the Latin show the best
Bars: Both hotels have a lot of bars and they'll do their best to make any drink or cocktail you can imagine. (if they have the ingredients, they will make it for you)
animation: The hotel has a large pool of animators, all interesting personalities, all high quality!
