Melia Peninsula Varadero
We are now at this hotel. Came for NY holidays with 2 kids: 3 and 6 years old. The main problem of this hotel is service and food.
1. Huge queues where you are staying 30 minutes each time. And when your turn coming it doesn’t mean that something that you want will not finish!
2. No fresh fruits. Only green acidic pineapples. Several time there were green bananas and papaya. Then guest relation informed us that they have problem with fruits suppling. Unbelievable. Means this problem will not finish for long time. If you coming to Cuba for fruits as well better avoid this hotel!
3. Same story with vegetables. Sometimes you will find green tomatoes and cucumber. Not each time.
4. Food is disaster. These cooks can’t cook at all. Beef, pork, turkey tough and tasteless sometimes not cooked up well. Only chicken was normal. Other meat better not to touch.
5. Cleaning in the room will be done only of you leave tips. Otherwise they will bring you a bottle of water and that’s it.
6. No any lifeguard in pools. Do not leave kids out of your eyes.
7. Any request coming from your room by phone is simply ignored. You should call min 3/4 times and shout to move the staff to help you.
Only thanks to Pablo who is trying to improve your mood each time he sees you doing his best to help you with your troubles.
We will never ever revert to this hotel more.
