a perfect hotel for a peaceful beach vacation
I went to Philoxenia with a small child on a 7 day vacation. We've been to many places across Grecce, but this place was the best combination of everything one might need. The beach is very close to the hotel, it's clean and nice, with a promenade and a road with practically no traffic. The hotel room was big, super clean and well equipped with a small kitchenette. A big plus is a huge balcony with a table where it's so cozy to have dinners. A bus stop is across the road and the bus takes you to the center of Chalkis, as compared to buses from other destinations across Evia which stop at the central bus station. The station is ok, but only taxis or other buses will take you to the center, it's pretty far to walk, im afraid. The hotel staff is most friendly, they served us breakfast on the departure day at 5 a.m.! So i'd highly recommend Philoxenia and I'll definitely come back!
